Migraines are a common condition within the UK, with roughly 1 in 5 women and around 1 in 15 men experiencing this health condition. Migraines are associated with the symptoms of a moderate to severe headache felt as a throbbing pain on one side of the head.
Other symptoms of a migraine are nausea, vomiting and increased sensitivity to light and sound. Unfortunately the exact cause of migraine is currently unknown but it is believed to occur due to dilating blood vessels within the brain.
